This is my latest creation and it is a tribute to the Hanna Barbera cartoon Herculoids. I did this piece as a gift to my Dad for Father's Day. This is one of his favorite animated shows and I have to say its pretty cool. I think I may have to day a Thundar the Barbarian soon too,we shall see. I hope that you enjoy the piece.

NBA/ Changing of the Guard

I have been watching a lot of the NBA playoffs recently. I have noticed that the NBA has changed a lot. The teams that were consistently in the top five the past few years didn't make it to the playoffs or got eliminated early. So I wanted to do a piece that spoke to this change but more importantly to the evolution of the players game play and overall physical appearance. Also with this piece I wanted to get back to doing some things with traditional media and mixing it with a digital medium. I chose to go with a old school player, Dr. J and with a current player, Lebron.

Dark Horse

It's that time of year again and once again I am trying to get a piece into the souvenir book for Comic Con. This time I chose to do a piece in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Dark Horse Comics. I decided to do a mash up Hellboy, The Goon, and Usagi Yojimbo. I like the way this one turned out( hopefully they will too). Anyways, I hope you enjoy it and wish me luck once again!

Priest Concept

Well I'm sure everyone knows about the Priest movie that is coming out. I saw the panel for this movie at Comic Con last year and I have to say that it looks pretty good. To coincide with the release there is a competition to to reinterpret one of the characters from the movie. This is my entry into the contest. It was definitely fun to do. Wish me luck!

DC Comics

This is my attempt at tackling some of the most iconic characters in comics ever. I have to say it was intimidating but also just plain awesome to draw these characters. I was trying for something kind of graphic but still illustrative(which I guess is my approach to most of my work).Also I am still introducing more texture to my work. This piece is also my attempt to get into the souvenir book for this years Comic Con. Wish me luck! I really hope everyone enjoys my venture into the DC world of characters.

Fantasy Football Remix

I decided to take another pass at the Fantasy Football concept. I really like the final outcome of this piece. I have been wanting to play around with more texture in my pieces, whether it was through painted textures or line work. I was able to try both in this piece. Again, this is for my brother in law and I hope that he enjoys this one as well.

Cherry Bomb Revisited

I decided to play around with the color on the original Cherry Bomb piece. I was just curious as to how the mood of the piece could change. I thought the first version had a boldness to it that I definitely liked. This version just looks so sinister( which is kind of cool) and I like it for different reasons. I was surprised as to how different the pieces feel. This was a fun exercise to do.

This piece was definitely a fun ride and it presented me with some new problems to work out which is always good. That's what keeps me growing as a artist. The main purpose for this piece is as a gift to my brother in law(Enjoy Ricky!). I know a lot of people are into fantasy sports so I just took that idea to a new level and pushed the "fantasy" element. I hope everyone enjoys the piece and I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I did this piece for a competition. It is my interpretation of Thor if he were to live in a Mad Max type of world. I definitely tried to give him more of a darker edge. It was a lot of fun to do. Hopefully I can do something like this again in the future.

This is a commission I did for DJ Shwann. The persona he created for himself is that of a futuristic samurai DJ. I think this is a cool mixture of elements and I had a lot of fun coming with a image for it. My depiction is based upon artist Matteo Scalera's design.

This is the latest in the Omogon project. I am starting to introduce different characters along with certain themes. In this case the theme is discernment. The Omogon are the protectors of the young characters in the story. In this piece I wanted to start to show this relationship and some of the gifts that each young character possesses. This girls gift is discernment and a heightened sense of things to come which is eluded to in the explosion in the background. Enjoy.

ATOMIC!

This is a superhero I created for a competition. I really wanted to create something that is a testament to a child's imagination. The kids name is Adam who is incredibly hyper and very high energy. So his alter ego is a direct translation of that. He can transform into Atomic who has the ability to wield great power in a variety of imaginative ways.

Here is my version of Bane. This was entry into a Comicon competition at GameArtisans.org. This has always been a favorite character of mine on the various animated versions of Batman. My favorite version would have to be Jeff Matsuda's design on The Batman. That was definitely a source of inspiration for me. Anyways here it is and I hope that you enjoy my vision of Bane.

Here is my character design for Noah. I wanted to make him modern but with an air of old elegance and a inherent wisdom. I automatically thought of animals when designing him and how he would have control over the animal kingdom.
